Depression

Really very beautiful. So often black, grey or darkness etc. are used to depict depression. While symptoms may be similar, no two depressed people 'feel' the same - that being said... I've never come across anything that reflected the feeling of my own experience so closely. The imprisonment, the downcast eyes (not gazing heavenward, frantically seeking escape, or closed), hand resting on the familiar barrier (not gripping, fighting be freed) and the secondary face. And it's the color, I don't feel like the world is dark, black, cold, etc when I'm depressed. In a depression (bi-polar) 'I' feel black, gray, hopeless, colorless and sometimes it's the color - the vividness of life around me, that overwhelms, hurts and highlights just how much color I lack... but then that's just me.
